1. Check Task Manager or Activity Monitor
Malware comes in many forms and often behaves differently. Some, like ransomware, cannot be overlooked, while others are unobtrusive.
Spyware is subtle compared to other types of malware. It hides in your system and keeps track of every password you type, every video call you make, and every email you send.
These software are sneaky, but leave a breadcrumb trail. If you are using the Activity Monitor on your Windows PC or Mac, the first stop is Task Manager. Both give an overview of everything that is happening on the machine.
PC user: Please follow the steps below
- Press to open the task manager Ctrl + Shift + Esc..[プロセス]Below the tab, you’ll see the apps and background processes running on your PC.
- Check the list. If you see a name you don’t recognize, search for it to see what you see. Even if you don’t know the name at first glance, these programs and background processes may be legal and not a problem.
- Right-click and press to close the app or process End the task..
Mac users: Follow these steps
- To open the activity monitor Command + space bar Open the Spotlight search. So Type activity monitor Press come in.. Check the list for anything you don’t recognize.

2. Know what to expect
What are the obvious signs of a malware infection? The process starts on its own. If the app launches suddenly, don’t write it down. Take it as a warning sign.
Imagine you have only a few apps that open when you start your computer. If you see another window temporarily before it flicks and no longer exists, you may have a spyware program loaded. They are designed to disappear, so you may not notice them, but they can be easily displayed like this.
Knowing what happens when you start your computer can help you get better ideas when something strange happens.
How to change the startup app on your PC:
- click Start menu..
- select Settings (gear icon) Click App..
- In the menu on the left, click Start-up It’s at the bottom.
The startup panel shows the apps installed on your machine. If Windows measures the impact of the app on your PC, you’ll see a rating next to it. Options include no impact, low impact, moderate impact, and high impact.
High-impact apps can slow down launch times. Examine the list to identify unwanted apps right after launch. Toggle each slider next to the app to turn it on or off.
