A Washington woman shot two burglars as they tried to break into her home early Thursday morning, police said.
Two men attempted to break into the woman’s residence on the 14600 block of 1st Ave S in Parkland, Washington around 4 a.m., according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner confronted the intruders and shot them, according to the sheriff’s office. One of his suspects used pepper spray at the exchange.

One of the suspects was seriously injured and was taken to hospital in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said. Another suspect walked away with missing injuries.
