The 14-year-old was arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of carjackings in Washington, DC, which began more than a month ago.
Police said the suspect remained unidentified due to age and was charged with a total of seven carjackings between June 13 and July 18.
Multiple suspects were involved in each of the alleged cases, but it is unknown whether any of the other suspects were arrested. The victim was in the car in each case during the theft. Police say all allegedly stolen cars were finally recovered.
In the first carjacking, the suspect is said to be unarmed. The event took place on 1st Avenue, where the victim was assaulted around 9 pm and the car was allegedly stolen.

On June 17, the suspect demanded that the victims of W Street get out of the car, and the suspect got into the car.
The first armed carjacking took place on June 18, shortly after 2:00 am on 1st Avenue, where one of the suspects allegedly pointed his pistol and demanded the victim’s car. The suspect got into the car.
Around 5 pm on June 22, the suspect swung his pistol near Easy Place, demanding that the victim get out of the car. The suspect ran away by car.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim on T-Street after midnight on June 26 and pulled him out of the car.
A similar incident occurred on 1st Avenue shortly after 2:00 am on July 2, when the suspect tried to assault the victim and remove him from the vehicle, but the victim was able to escape by car.
A recent hijacker happened on Monday when he pulled the victim out of the car and drove him away at around 2 am on 1st Avenue.

The suspect was charged with one deadly weapon / car theft assault, five unarmed carjacking, and one attempted unarmed carjacking.
