A New York City smash-and-grab robbery stole a ton of fine jewelry in a robbery caught on video.
The robbery occurred around 2:30 p.m. Friday at a Rocko’s Jewelry store in the Bronx. Business estimates he lost $2.15 million worth of merchandise in the robbery.
Located in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx, a short walk from Fordham University, the jeweler closed Saturday while police investigated the scene.
Surveillance video shows one of the suspects calmly approaching the store and waiting to enter.

After Rocco’s Jewelry employees harassed him, the suspect, dressed in a white T-shirt, opened the door for three masked men dressed in black.
One of the thieves can be seen using a hammer to break the glass case.

The robbery, which only lasted about a minute, appears to have been carefully planned. Police have released images and descriptions of the suspects to gather more information.
