According to officials, the US Coast Guard will conduct a major training this week involving vessels on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga.
The Coast Guard said in a news release that a maritime incident preparation training is scheduled for Tuesday morning at the river park boat ramp in Chattanooga.
Officials said the operation would involve passenger ships operated by the Chattanooga Riverboat. Officials said the purpose was to assist law enforcement agencies and firefighters who may respond to maritime incidents along the Tennessee River region.

The training is supported by multiple agency boats and includes flashing lights and emergency operation indications near the Tennessee River Milemarker 469 ship near the 153 highway bridge.
