San Francisco robbers are targeting victims with luxury watches worth thousands of dollars, officials said.
Since June, San Francisco Police Department has been notified of at least 20 armed robbers with wrist wear.
“This is an organized group of suspects gathering. They are specifically targeted at people, and we believe there is some oversight or prior follow-up,” said Sergeant Police. Adam Rob Singer told Fox San Francisco.
Investigators believe the robbery is organized and coordinated by multiple suspects. According to police, many of the incidents have occurred in downtown areas and destinations in the city.

According to police, some victims counterattacked and were injured in the process.
“Fortunately, we didn’t see any major injuries, but if you’re a victim of this type of crime, we’re always alerting people not to fight back,” Rob Singer said. .. “After all, this is a property crime. You can change your watch, but you can’t.”
San Francisco has dealt with a series of robbery and retail dating back to last year. The thief got worse and some corporate chains like Walgreens decided to close some parts of the city.

Investigators are reviewing security videos that captured some of the robbers, police said.
Meanwhile, authorities warn people to hide valuables and walk or travel with others to avoid casualties.
