News about six Belarusian soldiers missing in the Luhansk region at the end of last month after volunteering to fight Russia for Ukraine appeared on Wednesday, killing at least one and capturing another. It was reported that
Soldiers of the Kastushkarinoski Regiment, who reportedly pledged allegiance to Ukrainian troops in March, made a fatal exchange with the Russian convoy on June 26.
Half of the patrols were able to escape the shootout, but the other half were delayed to thwart Russian troops, Belarusian news agency Nasha Niva first reported.

A video posted by a Russian telegram account confirmed that at least one Belarusian fighter-Ivan Marchuk, commander of Volat Battalion-was killed in exchange, various reports said Wednesday.
Marchuk, who passed by the call sign “Brest”, was a rough recruiter. 500 strong volunteers Belarusian combat power.
Brest was reportedly seriously injured on one leg and head when fighting to protect the other retreating forces from the regiment.

“He is officially a prisoner of war because our soldiers are not mercenaries, but contract army soldiers,” the Kastush Karinowski Regiment reportedly responded.
Belarusian press said the potential capture of at least one dead and five other regimental soldiers was the greatest loss the Belarusian volunteer group suffered in the recent war with Russia.

Members of the Kastushkarinoski Federation, named after the Belarusian revolutionary who led the rebellion against the Russian occupation in the 1860s, also fought Russian troops after Moscow invaded Ukraine in 2014.
Fox News was unable to contact the Kastus Karinouski Registration immediately for comment.
