Wrightsville, Pennsylvania – While President Biden may like to emphasize Pennsylvania’s working-class roots, at least some manufacturing workers in Keystone state believe that the White House’s $500 billion student loan distribution will They say it’s a slap in the face of blue-collar America.
Fox News Digital covered several stories about student loan plans Thursday at a Donsco, Inc. steel mill in south-central Pennsylvania.
Jim Davis, the Donsko factory supervisor, said, “It doesn’t affect the people here, who are actually doing all the work outside. Biden’s ‘we’re going to help people in the big cities. [he] desire. ”
Francisco Hernández, a colon cancer survivor who was forced into retirement by 40 years of high inflation, was particularly frustrated with the handout.

Biden will forgive $10,000 student loan For borrowers with an annual income of less than $125,000. Pell Grant recipients receive a $20,000 debt distribution if their income is below the same threshold.

The White House is also extending a moratorium on student loan payments through the end of the year. Similarly, the Department of Education caps undergraduate loan repayments at his 5% of a borrower’s monthly income, adding handout costs to taxpayers.

Donsco Foundry employee Tony Bell had a different take on the handout.
“I think it’s a bad idea,” said Bell. “Donsko is always hiring people. These college students can always come here on vacation, work and pay off their debts.”
Many workers also expressed concern about the examples Biden’s handouts set out about personal responsibility.
“If they signed a contract, they should pay for it,” Kevin Wasileski said. “Why should I pay for someone else’s college?”
Wasileski added that Biden’s student loan distribution will likely benefit white-collar professionals at the expense of blue-collar workers.
“I don’t think plumbers should pay for doctors’ free medical school,” he said.
