Aaron Rodgers still owns the Chicago Bears.
The Bears ran in a comeback, but the Green Bay Packers stopped twice on the goal line to slow the two-possession game to a 27-10 win.
The Bears actually scored the first touchdown of the game, bringing the momentum from last week’s upset against the San Francisco 49ers to Lambeau Field. However, the Packers scored his three unanswered touchdowns to close out the half, and the Green Bay defense began to show up.
Aaron Jones scored two of the Packers’ touchdowns and Allen Lazard scored another in his 2022 debut.

At halftime, the Packers gained 233 total offensive yards, 164 of which were airborne shots from Aaron Rodgers. The Bears had his 84 yards. Bay led 24-7 at the half.
And then they did the same on their first drive of the second half, but the Packers fumbled, giving the Bears their first scoring opportunity since their first drive, but they had to settle for a field goal, giving them the lead. was cut to 24-10.

The Bears forced another punt at the start of the 4th quarter, hoping they could join the comeback fun from earlier, and the Bears’ run game came to strength.
David Montgomery ran for 14 yards and took a 22-yard sack after one sack. Khalil Herbert then put the Bears into the red zone with a 27-yard rush. However, in both the third and his fourth and goal, Justin Fields was stopped inside his 1-yard line, giving the ball to the Packers.
Chicago’s game plan was clearly to run the ball. Going into the final drive, Fields made his nine pass attempts, while the Bears made his 27 rushes (of which he came from Fields).
With 2:21 remaining, they had no choice but to throw. His first pass missed the target and his next was intercepted.
Rodgers completed 19 of 25 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns, while Aaron Jones ran for 132 yards on 15 carries.
Fields was 7-for-11 with just 70 yards. He only caught two Bears more than once (Equanimeous St. Brown and Montgomery). Montgomery finished with 122 rushing yards on 15 attempts.

Rodgers is currently 24-5 against the Bears in his career.
The Packers (1-1) head to Tampa Bay for a rematch against the 2-0 Buccaneers in the 2020 NFC Championship Game, while the Bears host the Houston Texans (0-1-1).
