One of three Dutch soldiers wounded in a shooting outside a hotel in downtown Indianapolis last weekend has died, the Defense Department said Monday.
“He died tonight from his injuries. He died surrounded by his family and colleagues,” the ministry said in a statement.
The unidentified soldier was one of three members of the Dutch Commando who were shot and wounded in downtown Indianapolis around 3:30 a.m.
Indianapolis police said officers found three men with gunshot wounds in an entertainment district and took them to a local hospital.

The foreign ministry said the other two wounded soldiers were conscious.
Soldiers were training at the Massatatuck Urban Training Center. FOX59 report.

“It is a premier training facility and is used by the Department of Defense and other allies,” the Indiana National Guard told the television station in a statement. Our thoughts and prayers are with the soldiers and their families.”

Fox News contacted the Indianapolis Police Department to obtain details of the investigation, but did not hear back in time for publication.
No arrests have been made at this time.
