New York City police officers shot a man they said Saturday night killing New York Governor Kathy Hokul and threatening to “blow up” the world.
According to the New York Post, New York Police Department officers arrived in the Cambria Heights district of Queens after being threatened by a man identified as Raul Hardy around 6 pm on Saturday evening.
The 60-year-old man reportedly intends to “change the government” by assassinating both Governor Hokul and New York Police Department Commissioner Keychant Seawell. Hardy is also reported to have said he intended to “blow up” the world.
Harvey was reportedly shot dead and injured after firing at a police officer arriving at the scene.

“I knew he lived there throughout my life,” Harvey’s cousin Brian Ware told the New York Post. “I didn’t know he had a gun.”
Ware added that Harvey is landscaping and has been involved in several domestic arrests in the past.

No officer was injured during the change, according to the New York Post.
A New York Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that the police had fired after they were fired, but said details of what led to the interaction are still under investigation.
