A North Carolina man was shot dead by police on Wednesday. Police said he had overrun the policeman in his car. The quarrel was caught by a neighbor’s doorbell camera.
The doorbell video shows the police sprinting before the suspect gets into the car, turns the car over and hits one of the police officers.
The suspect was identified by Gastonian police as 21-year-old Jason Lip Scone.

A spokesman for the Gastonian police, Rick Goodale, said at a news conference that police officers received a 911 call after 12:30 pm Wednesday and two children were kidnapped by a man.
Police arrived at a home on North Edgemont Avenue near Highway 74 and found that the two children were safe and unharmed, Gdor said. Police also found a lip scone near a house where police had “some kind of encounter” on the street.
Police said Lip Scone, who was driving the car, began beating police officers in the car.
After Lip Scone beat the policeman, the corresponding policeman fired a gun. The car went down the street and collided with a nearby parked car.
Lip Scone died of an injury. A police officer attacked by a car was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

As a standard procedure for all shootings involving police officers, the State Bureau investigates the case with the internal affairs of the Gastonia Police Station. The police officer involved in the shooting was put on leave.
