California Governor Gavin Newsom said in a television interview on Friday that he had “sufficient knowledge” to determine if he was “doing a good job” about Los Angeles district attorney George Gascon’s ability to perform his duties. Said not.
Newsom issued a statement in an interview with FOX11 Los Angeles, adding that he was “deeply concerned” with some of the criticisms Gascon received.
“Is he doing a good job?” Asked the governor.
“I don’t know enough about the work he did. I’m deeply worried about the criticism,” Newsom replied.
LA COUNTY DA GEORGE GASCON evokes efforts to clear the first hurdle when registrants prepare a “full check” of signatures.
“We are very publicly in line with these policies, including Los Angeles, which is related to some of the problems that are occurring in retail store theft, and some of the problems that are occurring in the railroad yard. I personally expressed my problem as follows: Well, I leave a more objective analysis of his work to the locals, “he added.
Newsom’s comment is in the midst of a recall campaign aimed at expelling Gascon.
The recall campaign passed an important milestone on Thursday. This is because the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder has confirmed enough signatures to move to “Complete Check of All Signatures Submitted”.
Gascon has been criticized by the people of Los Angeles for being vulnerable to crime, and tensions have been heightened by the recent incidents handled by his office.

In June, two Elmonte police officers were killed by gang member Justin William Flores. Justin William Flores was probated on weapons-related charges and was given a generous judgment for plea bargaining.
One of Gascon’s policies did not allow Flores to dispute a felony in possession of a firearm charge, so he was lightly sentenced to a strike in his criminal record.
Gascon told Fox News Digital that there is no “crystal ball” in his office.
“This individual had no history of violence,” Gascon said. “He was on bail for months and he could have been violent for a month. We don’t have a crystal ball.”
