A Nashville man has been charged with murder after a 52-year-old man he brutally beat with a metal pipe died of his injuries, officials said Friday.
Brian Levenstorff, 45, was charged Monday night with hitting Jerry Muller multiple times with a pipe under a footbridge on North 2nd Avenue in downtown Nashville, Metro Nashville Police said.
Muller was hospitalized with serious injuries. Police said Mueller died Thursday night.
Authorities said Rebenstorf told police he was involved in the attack and was arrested.
Purdue Suspect Accused of Murdering Roommate
Police say Rebenstorf told investigators he was upset because he thought Muller was stealing from him.
Initially charged with attempted murder, Levenstorff was now charged with murder.
