Compliments were poured after the NASCAR world received news of the death of Bobby East. The three US AutoClub (USAC) champions were 37.

Charles Kral, Communication Manager at the Automobile Racing Club of America, also tweeted that he remembered East’s driving skills and expressed his condolences to his family.
“There’s no better open-wheel car. I’m sorry to hear today’s news,” he tweeted. “My love and thoughts are with his parents Bob and Janice, and the whole family in the east. Compete with the peaceful Bobby.”
RFK Racing tweeted. “Our team is very sad to know today’s news about Bobby East. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass commented on the “shocking” news of his puncture wound and tweeted his condolences to the east.
East came from a NASCAR-loving family. Bobby’s father was Bob East, a USAC Hall of Fame car maker.
East won 56 USAC races throughout his career, and finally raced at USAC during the 2014 Silver Crown event.
He also spent time in NASCAR Camping World Track Series31 races on the circuit, 11 races NASCARXfinity series Between 2005 and 2008.
The American Automobile Club described him as “one of the most prolific drivers of his time.”
