A Michigan woman suing a man who stood up on a $ 10,000 date discussed with a judge at a hearing about a recent virtual court case.
Fox Detroit reported that the woman, Qa Shontae Short, filed a proceeding against Richard Jordan on the 2020 no-show day. She claimed that her experience of her caused her emotional distress because her date hit her mother’s late birthday.
At a recent 10-minute court hearing in Flint, Michigan, through Zoom, Judge Harman Marable Jr. asked Jordan if he would represent himself.
“Honestly, I thought this would be thrown away. One day, one day, and now, I’m being sued for $ 10,000. I don’t think I can go any further. A waste of time. I think it is. ”

The hearing changed the order when Short began discussing with the judge.
“If he responds and his response is a lie, it is a perjury and my document will prove that it is a lie,” Short exclaimed.
“No, no, no, do you know what perjury is?” Marable replied.
“Don’t insult my intellect. Don’t do that. Don’t insult my intellect as if you didn’t understand the meaning of perjury,” Short replied.
She then learned that she had filed a proceeding in the wrong court, the news report said.
“”[The] The bottom line is that you said it was a criminal offense, so I’ll send it to the circuit court. Did you end here? “
