A Michigan boy has been charged with murder after his sister-in-law’s body was found on Tuesday, police said.
14-year-old Jameion Peterson has been arrested in connection with the death of 10-year-old Na’Mylah J. Turner-Moore.
According to reports, the daughter’s mother, Meronzin Turner, was in the hospital after being notified that her daughter was missing when police told her she had died.
“As soon as I got to the scene, they found her,” Turner said, reported MLive.com.

Turner described her daughter, who turns 11 at the end of the month, as “everything” and said she laughs, dances and makes TikTok videos a lot.
“My baby was everything,” Turner told the outlet. “Everyone wanted to be around her. She was just adorable.”

“Dancing and TikToking were her hobbies,” she added. Her mother has Crohn’s disease, which is why she was hospitalized for two stomach surgeries on Tuesday.
“She always said to me, ‘Mommy, I’ll take care of you. I’m going to be a doctor,'” Turner said. “She was more mature than her age.”
Turner gave birth to twins in April and said the 10-year-old is supporting her younger siblings.
“She always wanted them on her face,” the mother said, reported MLive.com. I just wanted to love
Turner, who is still recovering from surgery, is acutely aware that his son-in-law may have played a role in his daughter’s death.
“I treated the boy like my own,” she told MLive.com. “I put clothes on his back. He was like another child of mine.” I had no idea he didn’t do something like this…that cover.”
Her body is awaiting autopsy, so the cause of death is unknown at this time.
