A suspect in eastern Pennsylvania was arrested after he drove through a crowd at an event commemorating the victims of the recent fire and then attacked a woman.
A large police presence was reported at the Department of Toxicology bar in Berwick, Pennsylvania, after multiple pedestrians were reportedly beaten. Reported by WOLF-TV.
One person was killed and 17 injured in the incident, Pennsylvania State Police said.
“At approximately 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, Pennsylvania State Police Bloomsburg drove through the crowd at a community event on West 2nd Street in Berwick Borough, Columbia County. We have received a call to assist the Wick Police Department,” the statement said.

Twelve of the victims were transferred to Geisinger Danville Hospital, three to Geisinger Wyoming Valley, one to Berwick Hospital and one to Geisinger Bloomsburg, according to a statement. .
The suspect fled the scene.

WNEP-TV reported The crash occurred at a day-long event aimed at benefiting the families of 10 people who died in a recent fire in Neskopec, Pennsylvania.
The same suspect, believed to be responsible for the crash, was later found in Lucerne county, and police received a call that a male suspect was beating a woman, state police said.
“When troopers arrived, they found a female deceased and a man in police custody,” the statement added. Suspect continues he is in custody at PSP Shickshinny awaiting criminal charges.
The Berwick Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Investigations into both incidents are still ongoing.
“The Columbia County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a murder in Berwick, Columbia County, with Force N’s lead case team,” the PSP said.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
