An unidentified man has been accused of attacking Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer at a retail store on Saturday.
Police have released a photo of the man, but he has not yet been identified. However, Democrat Fisher was not injured in the attack.
“Mayor Fisher was beaten by an individual at the Fourth Street Live tonight. The mayor is fine,” Louisville police said in a statement.
“LMPD is under investigation and will be released with more information as it becomes available,” police added.

Police have demanded that anyone with information about the suspect come forward via the anonymous tipline of 502-574-5673.
It is unknown if there were any changes that led to the attack on Saturday.

Fisher will be replaced by Democratic candidate Craig Greenberg later this year due to term restrictions.
