Police said two officers attended a house on Grand Avenue and 102nd Street around 1:20 p.m. after receiving a domestic violence call. This area was about nine miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
A 19-year-old man, later identified as Luis Herrera, emerged from the residence with what appeared to be a rifle, police said.
