As authorities continue to search for missing teacher Liza Fletcher, her Memphis community and the church she attends have issued an urgent call to wish her well.
Fletcher, 34, went for his regular morning jog around 4:30 a.m. on Friday but did not return and has been missing since. She is believed to have been kidnapped and multiple agencies are looking for her, including the FBI.
The Second Presbyterian Church wrote on Facebook “an urgent prayer.” “Families of the Church, as you may have seen in many news outlets, one of our members, Eliza (Liza) Fletcher, was kidnapped on the run at 4:30 this morning. Please join us in praying for Liza’s safety, she will be found soon.”
“Please pray for her family as well.”

Hutchison School, the private college prep school Fletcher graduated from in 2006, likewise encouraged community members and others to pray for Fletcher’s speedy return home.
“To the Hutchison family, we wish the safe return of Liza Welford Fletcher ’06. She was kidnapped this morning while running near the University of Memphis. She is a beloved alumnus and We pray for her safety and well-being, and for her family,” the school wrote.
Many people responded to both posts with prayers and wishes.
“I pray fervently that God protects her and breaks the will of her kidnappers so that she may be released safely and without injury,” one account commented.

“I am praying for her safe return,” said another.
Investigators said a junior kindergarten teacher was “kidnapped and forced into a medium-sized, dark SUV” while driving down Central Avenue near the University of Memphis.

Memphis police told Fox News Digital on Friday evening that her husband and two children were safe.
