A Georgia couple were arrested after police said they found a bag of drugs lying next to their 2-year-old’s McDonald’s happy meal in their car.
Jonathan Loftis, 34, and Bethany Smith, 23, were charged with methamphetamine felony trafficking after being stopped earlier this month by Coweta County lawmakers who said Loftis was driving erratically on Interstate 85. and was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession. my tv reported.
A representative said Smith’s 2-year-old daughter could be seen in the back seat and the car smelled of marijuana.
When agents asked Smith to get out of the car, they said she was having trouble walking.

Officers said they found a bag containing meth and marijuana on the floorboards.
The bag was next to a 2 year old McDonald’s Happy Mealofficials say.

Coweta County Detective Toby Nix said of the incident, “Not only was the 2-year-old found in the car, but drugs were found right next to the Happy Meal box, making things even worse.” .
A representative said the child was handed over to relatives.
