Florida officials say one man has died following a shooting at a youth sports complex in Pensacola, Florida.
Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said the incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Saturday when he received reports that his office had been set on fire at Bellevue Athletic Park. He said he died in the shooting and another man was hospitalized.
Simmons said two men wearing masks approached the victims and fired their weapons, adding that dozens of bullets were exchanged.
The shooting took place between the soccer and baseball fields of a sports complex, and many children were present at the time of the incident.

“There were a lot of people in attendance. This is a very pointless, careless and ridiculous act,” Simmons said. “There were many children around. No one else was hurt.”
Simmons said the two suspects were driving a white Nissan Altima and had not been arrested.
