An email from a California doctor to his wife accused him of abuse after she poisoned him with drain cleaning fluid, according to court documents.
Dr. Jack Chen, a 53-year-old doctor, has accused his wife of 45, Dr. Yue “Emily” Yu, of repeatedly spiking her drinks with household chemicals. Injuries from drain cleaner fluid.
Judge Thomas Law on Thursday issued a temporary injunction separating Yu and her children.
Yu’s attorney, David Whol, told Fox News Digital that he was “clearly very disappointed” by the ruling. If they wanted to pay attention, they could have provided an overseer to make sure everything was fine.”

Whol also noted that Chen filed for divorce earlier this month, a day after Yu was arrested on Chen’s allegations.
Chen also accused Yu’s mother of abusing him in a declaration of a domestic violence restraining order filed with Orange County on Wednesday.

“[M]My children and I suffered abuse by Emily and her mother, Amy,” the court filing said. [I] I wrote Emily an email trying to get her to calmly discuss our marriage and parenting issues. Often my emails were complaints about how she had abused the children and how she had abused me that day or the day before.
A series of emails included in the declaration reveal what appears to have been a tumultuous relationship between the couple with two young children, compounded by financial strain and months of resentment.
In one such email, Chen wrote to Yu:

Hall said his office is still trying to verify the authenticity of the emails, but said it would respond “immediately” to allegations made in the emails.

Chen’s allegations against his wife made national headlines after he shared video footage of Chen allegedly poisoning a drink in Drano.

The doctor’s declaration on the restraining order states that he and Yu installed a security system in his home in 2013 “to allow him to keep an eye on” the nanny, but he also said that Yu had unplugged the camera wires. Claims to have been disconnected.
“We installed cameras with microphones throughout the house, including the living room and children’s rooms, and sent the feeds to a computer in the master bedroom,” Chen said in a statement. “Emily knew about cameras because she asked me to show her a video of who her nanny was talking to at some point.” [sic], or what happened to the children that day. Around January 2021, Emily walked around her house and cut the wires to her camera, rendering it useless to her. I’m reviewing my saved videos to see what Emily and Amy are doing with the kids and me. “
Chen further claims that he had cameras in the kitchen on July 8, and on July 11, “I caught Emily taking a bottle of Drano out from under the sink and pouring it into lemonade.”
“After adjusting the camera height, I caught Emily on July 18, 2022 and July 25, 2022 and poisoned my lemonade with drano from under the sink,” Chen said in court. .

Authorities arrested Yu on July 4, but no charges have been filed against her. A spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office previously told Fox News Digital that it was investigating the case and would decide whether to file charges.
Yu’s lawyers say they have not yet received the full video from Chen’s attorneys, but Yu said, “Being a small woman, I poured drano from a large container into a smaller container to make it easier to flush down the drain. It was just,” he claims. “

Whol also claims that Chen’s allegations were untrue, that he was ready to divorce Yu and gain custody of his children, and that his client knew about the camera in the kitchen.
“We expect to see much more evidence and much more favorable rulings in the near future,” Hall said Friday.
Court proceedings will continue in the September 16 lawsuit.
