After the 2022 season, Don Mattingly will no longer be the manager of the Miami Marlins.
Marlins chairman and principal owner Bruce Sherman announced Sunday the schedule for the remaining 10 games.

“We are fortunate to have Don Mattingly lead our team on the field for the past seven years,” Sherman said in a statement. Represented with unparalleled dignity and pride.During the course of our recent conversations with Don, we agreed not to pursue a new contract for the 2023 season.It is time for a new voice to lead the clubhouse. came.”
Mattingly said it was a mutual decision between him, Sherman and general manager Kim Ngong.
The Mariners extend the ACE they earned by signing a five-year, $108 million contract that expires.
“I am proud and honored to have coached the Marlins for the last seven years and have enjoyed the experiences and relationships I have developed within the organization. I’m looking forward to the future and I’ll do my best,” he added.
Mattingly took over the team at the start of the 2016 season. He is at the end of his seventh season.he is the longest–Lifetime manager in franchise history.

He went 437-583 as a manager and led the team to the playoffs in the coronavirus-affected 2020 season. Miami is 63-89 this season, with Sandy Alcantara one of his leaders in the National League Cy Young Award.
