According to officials, the shooting in Denmark, where gunmen fired at a busy shopping center in Copenhagen, killing three people and injuring at least three, had nothing to do with terrorism.
Danish police said on Monday, the day after the shooting, the shooters were likely to act alone and fire indiscriminately at random shoppers.
Søren Thomassen, Copenhagen’s chief police inspector, said the dead victims included one Russian and two Danes. He said the victims included a man in his forties and two “young people.”
Thomassen was identified only as a 22-year-old Danish man and was arrested on the scene, saying the case was not a terrorist act.
