At least one person was killed and several injured when a car plowed into a taco stand in Pomona, Calif., on Friday night, officials said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials confirmed the death of one man after responding to the crash site just before 8 p.m., according to LA’s FOX 11.
At least 12 people were injured after a fleeing driver ran through a taco stand, KABC-TV reported. The driver, an unidentified woman, later turned herself in.
The taco stand was set up in the parking lot connecting the Cardenas Market grocery store and the Metro Wireless store along West Holt Avenue.

Photographs taken at the scene showed one person with a bandaged head, several first responders and others in the area.

Glasses and taco-making tools were also strewn about on sidewalks and in corners of parking lots. The table was overturned and the pop-up outdoor canopy was severely destroyed.
Authorities did not say what caused the crash or whether drugs or alcohol were to blame. The driver was arrested, according to FOX LA.
