Dozens were arrested Friday in a multi-departmental sweep of suspected gang activity in Southern California, police said.
The arrest was led by the San Bernardino Police Department with the help of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding cities.
The operation responded to increased gang activity in San Bernardino, about an hour’s drive east of Los Angeles, and was part of a program called the San Bernardino Movement Against Street Food Drums (SMASH). .
