The owner of the Philadelphia building was charged with a fire that resulted in the death of Philadelphia firefighter Seann Williamson.
According to Philadelphia’s FOX29, Al-Ashrafharil, 28, was killed on Saturday morning after a fire in his house destroyed a building and killed Philadelphia Fire Department 27-year veteran Williamson, 51. He was detained and charged.
Authorities detained Karil at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Friday and were arrested in handcuffs with Williamson’s initials and badge number, WPVI reported.
According to police, Karil was charged with one case of malicious damages from a fire in a building used in interstate commerce, and was charged with one case of assistance and gambling, leading to death.

He was also charged with one count of making virtually false or fraudulent statements after surveillance footage challenged his previous statement to the authorities.
Earlier this month, Karil’s building burned around 2 am, collapsed about an hour later, and a house fire broke out when six first responders were trapped.
First lawyer Nelson Sayer said investigators were looking for another suspect after two men (one of whom was Haril) were found on a surveillance camera outside the house on the night of the fire. He said he was.
Karil was seen several times in and out of the building before he noticed the fire.
“Video surveillance further shows that after 20 minutes two suspects can be seen leaving the place, then smoke coming from the direction of the building, and shortly afterwards the flames can be seen in the video. “Sayer said.
