Four family members have died in an apparent murder-suicide in a suburb of Massachusetts, officials said.
All relatives were found dead in Lynn, Massachusetts, about 13 miles north of Boston. Three male victims appear to have died from gunshot wounds.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office also identified a female suspect that officials believe may have committed suicide.
Officials said Lynn police responded to the sound of gunfire around 2:53 pm on Tuesday.

Less than two hours after the initial discovery, the suspect was found dead in her car in the Stop & Shop parking lot.
Investigators later found another corpse in Lin’s car and quickly determined that they were all related to each other.
According to the WFXT, “an initial investigation determined a 31-year-old woman to be a potential suspect,” the DA’s office confirmed.
The identity has not been released by officials who say they have completed next-of-kin notification.

While an apparent murder-suicide was being investigated, Lynn’s police chief, Christopher Reddy, assured residents that there was no threat to them.
