Israeli authorities have arrested at least three Palestinians in connection with a deadly attack on an Israeli military checkpoint on Saturday night.
Israeli police continue to search for suspects in Saturday’s attack that killed an 18-year-old female soldier and injured three others. The Israel Defense Forces have identified the dead soldier as Noah Lazar.
Prime Minister Yair Lapid said: “Tonight our hearts are with the injured and their families. “Terrorism will not defeat us. We are strong in this difficult night.”
“We are not silent and we will not rest until we bring this abominable killer to justice,” he added.

Tensions have risen in Israel and the West Bank in the days since the end of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Four Palestinian teenagers have been killed in an Israeli operation in the West Bank since Friday.
Two of the teenagers were killed in a shootout with Israeli forces on Saturday. IDF soldiers reportedly surrounded homes in the West Bank to capture members of Islamic Jihad groups. The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the dead as 18-year-old Mahmoud Al-Sus and 16-year-old Ahmad Daragme.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967.
