A community member of the Myrtle Beach yacht club has died after a vicious attack by an 11-foot crocodile.
According to Myrtle Beach SC News, the Holly County Fire Department has determined that the crocodile has captured the person and pulled the victim into a regulating pond.
The victim’s body was later recovered from the pond, and South Carolina Natural Resources Department officials concluded that the crocodile should be euthanized on-site.
Horry County Police spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov reportedly confirmed that the ministry’s environmental services and criminal investigation department continued to investigate the deaths of unidentified community members.

According to Myrtle Beach SC News, the recent increase in crocodile attacks is due to the crocodile and human population growth.
