A 13-year-old soccer player has returned home after suffering a heart attack during a game last month.
Cash Hennessy suffered a heart attack during the San Dimas team’s football game in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., on Sept. 17. He has been hospitalized for nearly a month, but on Tuesday he was seen leaving County Children’s Hospital, according to eyewitness news.
“I feel great. I’m so happy to be home,” Hennessey told ABC7.
During his hospital stay, Hennessy and his family had a lot of support from friends, teammates and even area athletes like Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson.

“There are so many great things ahead of you,” Thompson said in a video directed to Hennessy.

“Every time he doubted Cash, Cash proved him wrong and his recovery was so fast. He was just amazed,” said Chad Hennessy.
