The Biden administration is asking Americans to get the latest COVID-19 booster shots before the holidays.
The official White House Twitter account posted a graphic urging Americans to roll up their sleeves and get the latest COVID vaccine.
“I can’t see it, but I can hear it!” The graphic warns in bold. “Get her annual COVID vaccine before Halloween and avoid spooky Thanksgiving.”
This push is to prepare for a possible spike in cases and hospitalizations during the winter months.
By last week, more than 20 million people in the US had received updated COVID vaccines. The vaccine has been reformulated to target his BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of Omicron, the most prevalent strain in the United States.
