To make the weekend, the expected cut line was set to 2 over 140. Mickelson was at the bottom of the leaderboard and shot 151 in the first two rounds.
On Thursday, Mickelson finished at 78. He had 5 bogeys, 2 double bogeys and 1 birdie in the first round. On Friday, he shot 73, but it wasn’t enough to push him across the cut line. He ended up with two birdies and five bogies.

Mickelson played in the first LIV Golf tournament in London last week and was in the spotlight during the tournament after finishing 11 overpars in the three rounds he played. The Saudi-funded golf league has no cut lines.
It was his first tournament with other PGA Tour pros since February. He received a great deal of opposition for apparently eradicating Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.
He later apologized for his remarks, but said it was right for him to join the rival league.

He reportedly received a $ 200 million deal to participate.
