The new-look Miami Dolphins offense got off to a hot start in Sunday’s first game of the regular season against the New England Patriots.
Tua Tagovailoa went 23-33 for 270 passing yards and a touchdown in Miami’s 20-7 victory over New England. His only touchdown his pass came in the second quarter on a dart to Jalen Waddle. A touchdown was set up after Tyreek Hill stole an interception from a Patriots defender.

Waddle then ran diagonally, Tagovailoa put the ball exactly where it needed to be, and Waddle did the rest.
Hill recorded eight catches for 94 yards in his Dolphins debut. Waddle he recorded his four catches for 69 yards. Chase Edmonds led the Dolphins with 25 yards on the ground on 12 carries. He also had four catches for 40 yards.
It was a tough day for the Patriots.

New England turned the ball over three times and were unable to attack anything. Mack Jones was also hit hard, dealing with back issues at the end of the game.
Jones finished 21-for-30 with 213 passing yards and a touchdown pass to Ty Montgomery in the third quarter. Jones intercepted Jevon Holland and lost a fumble.
Wide receiver Nelson Agholor recorded three catches and one fumble for 28 yards. Jacobi Myers recorded four catches for 55 yards and led the team in receiving.

The Patriots lost the opening game for the second year in a row. Miami defeated New England in Week 1 last year, where he beat New England 17-16.
