“I’ll probably have to do it again,” former President Donald Trump told a Texas audience on Saturday night, referring to his re-running for the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
“I ran twice, I won twice. I did much better the second time,” Trump told a crowd of thousands gathered to hear him speak in Robstown, Texas. “We have millions more votes in 2020 than we did in 2016 and, similarly, far more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country. , I’ll probably have to do that to make it safe and glorious.
“The silent majority is back stronger than ever,” Trump said as dramatic music played. “My brothers and sisters, this wonderful journey we are on together is just beginning.”
The statement is one of the strongest hints yet that Trump intends to run for president again after months of speculation and doubts about the best timing for an official announcement.
