Former NFL defensive lineman Tony Silagsa died Wednesday at his home in New Jersey. He was 55 years old.
Police officer Toms River answered a phone call at home in the Barrier Island section of the town, and the dispatcher was told that “CPR is in progress,” officials told TMZ Sports. Siragusa was later declared dead at home.
Former NFL player broadcast agent Jim Ornstein has confirmed the death of Silagsa. The cause of death was not immediately known.

“Today is a really sad day,” Ornstein said. “Tony was much more than my client. He was a family. My heart is towards Tony’s loved ones.”
Lovingly known as the “Goose,” Silagsa joined the NFL in 1990 as an undrafted free agent when he signed with Colts.
He played 96 games for the organization and recorded 16.5 sack from 1990 to 1996. He joined Ravens in 1997 and played until 2001. At the 2001 Super Bowl.
Much around the NFL is feeling a loss.
