Many of the biggest unsolved mystery JRR Tolkien’s sprawling “Lord of the Rings” trilogy grew out of the few snippets of text he left behind. His line here, his line there, or some small revision that raised questions he never answered before his death in 1973.
Six episodes of the Amazon series The Rings of Power, set before Tolkien’s trilogy and drawn from the details of its six appendices, explore them, including long-standing questions about the origin of the Orcs, Blue’s fate. seems poised to resolve some of the Wizards and what Sauron gained over the centuries after Morgoth’s defeat.
Perhaps these answers relate to some mysterious character in the series. What is Halbrand? Who are the strangers from the skies? And what about those three sinister priestesses?
Everyone must wonder what woke up in the darkness. Their identities are still unknown as there are only two episodes left of him from the first season. Here are some theories that may light the way.

The literary world constructed by JRR Tolkien, now adapted into a new series on Amazon Prime Video, has inspired generations of readers and viewers.
That last possibility has an emotional appeal. Also, he traveled on a meteor. Maiar —who later as Gandalf I will explain, begins in the spiritual realm before arriving in Middle-earth in physical form. Newly incarnating could explain how difficult it was for strangers to control their immense magical powers. (His one of his special skills — spellcasting in Elvish Quenya, such as the healing/regeneration spell “envinyanta”).

Tolkien wrote conflicting versions of their story, but it seems likely that the Stranger is looking for his fellow fallen friend.

They definitely seem to have magical powers, so if they turn out to be members of the spooky Sauron cult, it makes sense. Cult of Melkor — what about their celestial bodies iconography and ritual amulets.
Tolkien had two thoughts about his Blue Wizard. His concepts have changed over time, as seen in letters and synopses published in “Unfinished Tales” and “The Peoples of Middle-earth.” At first he speculated that they had failed in their original mission and had become leaders of a secret magical cult. Later, he suggested that they had succeeded in helping block Sauron.
But what if both versions could be true? What if wizards acted independently on opposite sides? May welcome or attempt to deter incoming cult members.

“You’re Sauron, aren’t you?” Waldreg (Jeff Morrell) asks. many screen caps When questioned, the Dark Elf Adar (Joseph Maul) explodes in anger. why? Because Sauron is actually an insult and means “Abomination”. Sauron was killed by Adar, who was called “Father” by his followers of the Orcs.
Later, when the supposedly virtuous Galadriel (Morphid Clarke) advocated, organized orc slaughter, Adder makes a compelling case to join the Orc sympathizer camp. Galadriel and Adar clarify both versions of Tolkien’s competing Orc origin theories. Orcs were bred as a mockery of elves (“The Book of Lost Tales” version), and orcs were actually fallen elves (“The Silmarillion” version). Tolkien himself suffered from this dilemma and speculated whether orcs were completely irredeemable. Adder claims Orc rights. If you stab us, he asks, won’t we bleed (black)?
Adar himself is more of an elf than his preferred nomenclature of Orcs and Uruks. For one, having lived since the First Era, he is still immortal. he can stand in the sun And he keeps the tradition of sowing seeds before battle. Instead of threatening to kill his “children”, Galadriel might have asked how many more elves like him had been disguised by the dark.

At the beginning of the show, Galadriel says, “Nothing went wrong to begin with.” What she doesn’t say, though it is said in the book, is that she “wasn’t even Sauron.” Note that Sauron is a mya, being either cut off from the flesh and returning in a new body, or being without a body at all. disguiseThat’s why so many characters are suspected of being. sauron.
Of the various Sauronic possibilities, the show leans the most toward Galadriel’s seedy shipwreck companion (and blacksmithing enthusiast), Halbrand (Charlie Vickers). Doesn’t she want to believe he’s a man? lost kingDoes that seem to be the end of his secret?? All the secret camera angles suggest otherwise.
In Tolkien’s letters, he writes about the moment when the Second Age Sauron tried to repent. The nature of that repentance continued to change. Halbrand is not only a reluctant hero, but he can also be a reluctant villain. Read as a sign of a struggle to keep it from recurring. As Halbrand himself says, “Appearances can be deceiving.”
