On 22 July, the World Health Organization reported that only five deaths were reported worldwide, all in Africa.
Last Saturday, the WHO declared the rapidly spreading outbreak a global health emergency and called for the highest level of vigilance.
Spain’s health ministry said in its latest report that there were 4,298 confirmed cases in the country. He said that of the 3,750 patients, 120 were hospitalized, accounting for 3.2%, and one died, but did not provide further details.
