Boston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale was unlucky on Sunday as he was forced to leave the New York Yankees.
Sale left the game in the first inning after being hit by a line drive from the Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks’ bat. The sale quickly hit the soil and rushed out of the field. He was replaced by Hirokazu Sawamura.
It was later revealed that he had a broken Pinky.

As he got off the mound, Sale raised his hand. The video from the game showed a broken finger.
Star Red Sox has made his second start since returning from a rib fracture. He played against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday and appeared to be in a familiar shape. He threw five shutout innings and allowed only three hits.

Sale suffered numerous injured bugs during his tenure at the Red Sox. He overcame his shoulder and elbow troubles in 2018 and 2019. He did not pitch in 2020 as he recovered from Tommy John’s surgery.
He returned in 2021, but his elbows became more uncomfortable.
He injured his ribs during a break from work. And on Sunday he injured Pinky.

The sale is signed as Boston throughout the 2024 season.
