The 2022 Presidents Cup is proceeding as normal with the United States maintaining its dominance.
Team USA went 4-1 for the second day in a row, winning three games and halving the other two.
Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are a dynamic duo that keeps on giving. They beat Adam Scott and Cam Davis by his 2-1, and Thomas’ near ace and Spieth’s clutch putt on his 15th hole gave him at least half a point.

Thomas is 8-0-2 in team match play in the Presidents Cup and 12-2-3 including Ryder Cup matches. Spieth is 18-6-3 in team competition and 10-2-1 in the President’s Cup. He and Spieth improved to 6-2 as partners.
Sam Barnes vacated an 80-foot eagle putt in the seventh, but Sungjae Yim and Sebastian Muñoz were able to fight back from second down with six holes to go.
Munoz birdied on the 13th, Scotty Schaeffler and Barnes both bogeyed 17s, and the game went header-even on the 18th.
Neither Kevin Kizner and Cameron Young nor Mito Pereira and Cristian Bezuidenhout were able to get past the one-up lead in the halves.
Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele scored big wins with 3-2 wins over Hideki Matsuyama and 20-year-old Tom Kim. The American pair saw him beat Matsuyama and Adam Scott 6-5 yesterday. Together, they have five straight match-play wins. He lost 2-0 in the Ryder Cup last year.
The International hoped the final pair of the day, Corey Connors and Taylor Pendris, could get out of the ditch against Max Houma and Billy Horschel. After 2 down for 10, they won 2 of their next 3 holes to square the match.

The pair were level on the next four holes, but Homa had the upper hand on the final two. His birdie at 17 earned him half a point, and after Pendris birdied at his 18, Houma answered with a birdie of his own, giving the United States the full points.
It takes 7.5 points for the USA to retain their eight consecutive cup wins. There will be four four-ball matches tomorrow, four foursome matches, and 12 singles matches on Sunday.
Simply put, the International needs a miracle.
