PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monaghan It refuted an antitrust lawsuit filed by 11 former members of the tour, calling it an attempt to “free ride” on the “interests and efforts” of the current members of the tour.

“We are prepared to defend our members and challenge this latest attempt to disrupt the tour, and please be confident in the legal merits of our position,” Monaghan said in the letter. “Basically, these suspended players, now the Saudi Golf League, have been off the tour and now want to come back. I’m trying to join the competition with my members.

It hurts our organization, our players, our partners and our fans,” Monahan continued. “The lawsuits they filed somehow expect us to believe the opposite, so we intend to make our claims clear and vigorous.”
