The great thing about the start of the NFL’s regular season is that all teams have the same record and still have the potential for a dream season.
A dream can turn into a nightmare in an instant.
Those whose hopes were dashed last season are looking to turn it around and get back into the postseason.
Last season, the bottom eight teams in each division were the Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks.

Outkick sports betting expert Jeff Clarke told Fox News Digital he believes the Jaguars have the best shot at going from worst to first and winning the AFC South. The Jaguars are +750 to win the division. To FOXBet.
“The most obvious answer is the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence is a stallion and his rookie season was a throwaway year, given Jacksonville’s head coach turmoil. The Jaguars have a proven track record of success.” and hired head coach Doug Pederson, who holds a Super Bowl title.
“Also, the Jacksonville front office has taken advantage of Lawrence’s rookie deal to acquire some crazy talent, including first-round selections for 2021 and Clemson teammate Travis Etienne going into 2022. It goes without saying that he is in good health.

“The final reason Jacksonville looks like a promising ‘bottom-to-top’ contender is the AFC South. The Jaguars’ division is arguably the softest in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans have a lot going for them in 2021. A possible setback after winning a coin-flipping contest…and parting ways with star wide receiver AJ Brown this offseason.
“The Indianapolis Colts have a new starting quarterback for the fifth straight season and are no division or AFC playoff rock, and the Houston Texans have one of the least talented rosters in the league. It’s a trash can fire.”
According to FOX Bet, the Ravens have the best shot at +145 to go from worst to first. Baltimore last season he finished 8-9 in a dense AFC North.
Clark said the Ravens would be a good bet to win the division if the team is healthier than last year.
“I don’t hate it when the Baltimore Ravens win the AFC North at +145 because they’re actually fielding a professional team this season,” Clarke told Fox News Digital. “The Ravens dominated 2021 by losing games to injury and COVID. Baltimore started 8-3 and Lamar Jackson was an MVP candidate up to that point. The injury effectively ended Baltimore’s season,” 13 games against the Cleveland Browns.

“However, the Ravens have regained former All-Pro left tackle Ronnie Staley and center Tyler Linderbaum, the No. 25 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Baltimore’s offensive line is thus top 10. and should open up a running lane for Lamar” and RB JK Dobbins.
“Finally, the Ravens have lost two elite cornerbacks in 2021, Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters, and added first-round safety Kyle Hamilton to their already-stacked secondary. Lamar is looking for a better wide receiver.” In need, but Baltimore’s run game is going to be sick…a top-five ceiling.”
