Evans’ agent, Derrick Gilmore, released a statement via ESPN, saying, “Despite some arguments that the player has committed more egregious offenses such as punching, kicking and choking and will not be suspended. “We are disappointed that the league supported the suspension,” he said.

“You knocked your opponent to the ground, and a brawl ensued involving players from both teams. It clearly does not reflect a high standard of sportsmanship.”
