The New York Mets scored a big 2-1 victory over MLB’s top dog at the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.
Yes, Jacob deGrom was on the mound, but even the best players need a little help sometimes.
0-1 in the seventh inning, Justin Turner hit a 100 mph fastball that hit center field. But Brandon Nimmo had a great jump and was eye-opening all the way to the end.
Desperate, he leaped up, stole the game-tying home run from Turner, and let out a powerful yell after crashing into the wall.

“I knew I was hit quickly, so I was only worried about getting back on the fence as soon as possible…” Nemo He told reporters after the game. “The timing was perfect and everything worked out perfectly.”
Nemo got a standing ovation after the play, got a lot of high fives from his teammates, and even held big hands when he returned to his next at-bat.
Nemo isn’t afraid to admit he’s pretty excited about the catch.
“I have to sleep somewhere tonight, so I have to settle down.” he added.
“I’m still really ecstatic about it. It was one of the best plays I’ve ever made.”
The Heist kept what was already a great start for deGrom, but thanks to Nimmo the box score is much better. DeGrom pitched 1-run ball and struck out 9 in 7 innings.
