Kenny Chesney once sang, “You and Tequila drive me crazy.” Well, tequila certainly seemed to have made Julian Edelman her crush almost three years ago.
The former wide receiver was arrested for vandalism in January 2020, but he found it interesting enough to talk about on the “Games With Names” podcast.
He revisited that night in Beverly Hills, California on a podcast with Paul Pierce, who joined Edelman and former teammate Danny Amendola.
Edelman tried to slide across the hood of the car, but his pants wouldn’t let him slide, damaging the car.

“It was my jeans,” he said. “There was no slippage. Too much friction…If you go over there in straight jeans, you’re kind of stuck. Homeboy gets out.” [the] Waving at cars, cops and they start tying me up. “
At the time of his arrest, police told TMZ Sports that it was “clear” that Edelman had been drinking.

Edelman, Amendola and Pierce are stranded inside a restaurant due to a robbery taking place nearby.
“We were on our way out and couldn’t leave the place for two and a half hours. So what did we do? We drank tequila all night.”

Edelman pointed out that this was a civil arrest, but was still woken up by “300 emails from agents.”
“We’re going back home. We’re here, not at TMZ, not going out, thinking we’re having the best night of our lives,” Edelman said. We go out and play 1-on-1 basketball in our Soho house, and people are like, ‘What’s going on?’ You wake up in the morning to 300 text messages from your agent.

Edelman will retire after the 2020 season, and Amendola announced his retirement earlier this year.
