Republican Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker’s campaign has fired political director Taylor Crowe over alleged leaks to media officials, two Republican sources with knowledge of the incident told Fox News. Confirmed digitally.
The decision comes a month before the 2022 midterm elections, and Walker responded to reports that he encouraged an unnamed ex-girlfriend to have an abortion and reimbursed him $700 for the procedure. Walker denies the report.
The New York Times reported Saturday that the woman now said Walker encouraged her to have a second abortion and ended the relationship in 2011 when she refused. Not confirmed.
Walker’s opponent, incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock, remains ahead of the race, according to a Fox News poll released last week. In the previous poll from September 22-26, 46% would choose Warnock and 41% would choose Walker.
