Mike Collins won the Republican primary in the Georgias 10th Parliamentary constituency and defeated Trump-backed Vernon Jones in a GOP nomination.
Collins’ victory, which had 78% of the votes to 24% of Jones when the Associated Press called the race, defeated former President Donald Trump, who had an influence on the Republican Republican Party while not on the ballot. The line of primary outflow is considered.
Trump is in favor of former state legislator Jones, and the Democratic Party turned to the Republican Party, which was the head of the then black deputy president of Peach in the 2020 elections.
Collins is considered a favorite of the district’s Democratic primary winners in the fight for successor to Republican Rep. Jody Hice, who failed the Georgia Secretary of State’s campaign, rather than seeking reelection.
Collins was approved by Republican Governor Brian Kemp last week. Only three weeks after Kemp smashed former Senator David Padhu, who was primarily challenging the conservative governor with great support from Trump. Kemp beat Purdue by more than 50 points in the Republican primary last month. This was a devastating defeat for Trump. Kemp caused Trump’s anger at the 2020 election to prove to the current President Biden of Georgia that he was defeated in the very thin elections of the time.

Purdue wasn’t the only well-known Trump-supporting candidate to lose in the Georgia primary. Trump also lost to Secretary of State Brad Rafence, who had repeatedly attacked, with a two-digit number. And Trump-backed Republican Attorney General John Gordon was demolished by incumbent Chris Karr.
Jones originally ran for governor in this cycle, hoping that Kemp would land Trump’s support in the primary. However, after he approved Purdue, the former president persuaded Jones to close his governor’s bid and instead run for a seat in Heiss’s vacant parliament. Trump approved Jones when he started bidding on his home.
