Former President Donald Trump will play Thursday in the LIV Golf Pro-Am alongside Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau ahead of the third tournament in the LIV Golf Invitational Series, according to the New York Post.
The tournament will be held at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey and will feature 48 golfers.
The Saudi-backed LIV Tour has caused a great deal of controversy in the golf world over the past few months as many high-profile players joined the LIV against the wishes of the PGA Tour.
On Monday, Trump said in an interview with wall street journal LIV Golf is one of the “Hottest Happenings in Sports”.

Speaking of Saudi Arabia’s investment in LIV, Trump said, “I think the publicity they get is great for them, more than anything else.” It’s one of the hottest things to happen in sports, and sports are a big part of life.”
On Wednesday, LIV Golf announced its 2023 schedule. This includes his 48 golfers playing for 12 established team franchises in 14 tournaments. The total budget for the 2023 season will be $405 million.

This weekend’s tournament in Bedminster features 12 teams, with golfers like Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Johnson and DeChambeau all playing.
